BIO:
I am a Latina artist by the grace of God and an educator by choice. I was born in McAllen, TX and raised in Hidalgo where I have been teaching art for the past 15 years. Teaching has been my passion in life as has sharing my work with people I know have been visually and emotionally moved.
I am formally introducing my work to the public. Hopefully, I compel the viewers to interpret my work from their own pool of memories, impressions and experiences. My intent is simply to convey the message of faith and pride within ourselves. My mission is to promote art awareness, cultivate friendships and enrich lives through cultural art.
Creating ethnic art fosters pride in one’s own culture and a respect and appreciation for the uniqueness of others. In my series of folk art I hope to celebrate a bi-cultural perspective.
