HIDALGO - Comedian George Lopez has added a second show to his July stop at Dodge Arena.
Lopez will perform at 8 p.m. July 11 and 12 at the venue.
Tickets are priced at $40, $50 and $60 plus service charges and parking fees.
While tickets for the July 11 concert are already available, those for the July 12 show go on sale at 10 a.m. today throughticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster locations including Dodge Arena Box Office, Macy's La Plaza Mall (McAllen), Sun Coast (McAllen) and FYE (Brownsville) or by calling 956-668-7740.
A veteran of comedy stages, Lopez starred from 2002 to 2007 in "The George Lopez Show" on ABC. Lopez starred as a Los Angeles manufacturing planet manager attempting to deal with his wacky family.
Lopez's co-star on the program was Rio Grande Valley native Valente Rodriguez.
Now in syndication, the sitcom won a prime time Emmy and was nominated for 31 more.
It was cancelled last year amid charges of racism by Lopez. Standard industry practice is that once a program has five seasons under its belt it can be syndicated and stop the expensive process of creating new episodes.
Since 1990, Lopez has appeared in a dozen movies and even more TV series. He has three more movies scheduled for release within the next year.
