Why are you so crazy on stage? Are you possessed as soon as the music starts?

Matt: (laughs) No, I'm not possessed. When I was younger, I was really into Taking Back Sunday and Blink 182 and they're known for putting on great shows. It's like I'm an empty box and the music fills me. No one wants to see a boring show.

If you could tour with any band, who and why?

Matt: Hands down Taking Back Sunday - it's a dream. Second choice would be Chiodos because they look like they have a lot of fun.

Music in South Texas is ...

Matt: ... an experience. It's an art. For me it's a way of life. It's growing. Bigger bands are coming down.

How does it feel to release an album?

Matt: Wow. I still don't believe it. This has been a dream. It's all I've wanted to do.

Do you believe in aliens?

Matt: (laughs) Yeah.

Why?

Matt: Why not? It's a little bit ridiculous to think we're the only ones out here.
